LEA LAND GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW!

The LEA is now accepting applications for the third round of its Land Grant programme. Complete details and information and how to apply are available here, deadline August 15th!

If you aren't familiar, this is the LEA Land Grant program seeks to promote and nurture the arts in Second Life, through a six-month land grant to recipients. Recipients can be individuals or groups interested in creating or curating art, or proposing cultural projects which would require/utilise a full-sim build and can be completed within the allotted time frame. The LEA is able to offer land grants through the generosity of Linden Lab.

Yooma Mayo's 'Dreaming Machine #1' was just one of the many stunning exhibits from round two of the Land Grants.

While many well-known virtual artists have received grants, we have also had the pleasure of hosting 'younger' artists-in-residence and hope to continue in that tradition. You need not have a great deal of experience, just some good ideas. The applications are a bit more detailed now to help guide you in thinking through your project. We also welcome applications from across the spectrum of the arts!

If you still need a little more inspiration, take some time to visit the current artists-in-residence, which will be open until August 15th.

We look forward to seeing some great applications, good luck!
